Haunted Hickory is an annual conference celebrating paranormal research. Our goal is to connect researcher, sensitives, and skeptics with an audience interested in their findings.
This year it will be held the first weekend in October, and will feature all of the stars below, with some surprises that may be added as the date draws closer.

Featured Guest: Shannon Sylvia, the newest member of the Ghost Hunters family, hails from Leominster, Mass., just outside of Boston. Shannon's experiences growing up in a small, historic town rife with paranormal activity sparked in her a strong interest in the field, and she has dedicated a great amount of time to investigating unexplainable incidents that for years plagued her parents' home, as well as her own. Those domestic experiences with the supernatural led to Shannon's relationship with New England Paranormal. First hired by Shannon in 2005 to investigate the activity in her home, the group soon asked her to join their team. Since then, she has worked with the group on many cases throughout New England. She continues to take every advantage of opportunities to expand her knowledge of paranormal investigating by attending conferences as well as devouring countless books on the subject. When she's not working on a case, Shannon — who holds degrees in communications and fine arts — works full-time in her graphic- and Web-site-design studio, which she has owned for the past seven years. She is also the owner of a brand-new, unique day spa. Keith Age is one of the most prominent names in paranormal investigation. He is one of the longest standing members of the American Ghost Society, founder of the TAPS affiliated Louisville Ghost Hunters Society, and has worked with virtually all of the leading experts in the field over the last quarter-century. Mr. Age is perhaps best known for his documentary, “Spooked” which investigated the Waverly Hills Sanatorium and aired on the Sci Fi channel. He has just finished post-production on another documentary set to air on Sci Fi entitled, “Children of the Grave”.

Featured Guest: Nathan is the co-host of The Ghostman and Demon Hunter Show. Steven LaChance (Missouri) is a radio host and producer who appears weekly on Haunted Survivor Radio, an online radio program. His story was featured on the Discovery Channel's A Haunting and in the Booth Brothers documentary The Possessed to be released in October 2008. His book The Uninvited: The True Story Of The Union Screaming House will be released on September 1, 2008 and is available for pre-order at Amazon. com. He also appears in Children of the Grave, another documentary by the Booth Brothers.
Nathan Schoonover; Cohost of Ghostman and Demonhunter Radio Show
He is not a demonologist. He is not a theologist or a witch. Nathan is not a priest, reverend, or monk. He is not a psychic, medium, or sensitive. Nathan does not claim to be a professional, expert, or leader in the paranormal field. He has been called all these things, however, since he has been fortunate enough to study under some of the best people in all these disciplines and more. When asked what he calls himself, he says: 'a well-informed entertainer who has had the pleasure of investigating the paranormal for more than 15 years.'
He spends his time visiting haunted locations and discussing what people of all faiths and experiences believe the supernatural truly is. He has studied the influences on religious beliefs on paranormal theory and has worked on malevolent haunts as an investigator and counselor all over the country.

Steven Lachance,
Steven's experiences at the Union house inspired him to form the Missouri Paranormal Research, which he left in 2007 in order to help people in extreme haunting situations. He has successfully investigated and concluded many such cases.

In 2006, Eric Singleton and Shawn Litton decided to give life to the North American Paranormal Society, even though both of them, alone, had been discussing and studying the paranormal for years before hand. They waited until they could gather a good team of investigators who were as serious as they were about the research and investigations. Both Eric and Shawn have each had their own experiences with the paranormal. This left them with questions that they each needed answers for and so began their study.

Best known for his staring roll as the paranormal investigator on Tru TV's (formerly Court TV) hit series 'Haunting Evidence', but he was no stranger to the media prior; having been featured on CNN and an Emmy award winning documentary for TBS, among countless other appearances.
Burns is also the founder and director of Ghost Hounds - the largest paranormal research network in the southern USA. His paranormal enthusiasts convention 'GhoStock' is held twice annually in Savannah, Georgia and attracts attendees from across the country.
He is one of the most respected and in-demand paranormal researchers today, receiving requests to conduct investigations and lectures from coast to coast.

Bishop James Long,
Bishop James Long, studied for the Roman Catholic Priesthood for 6.5 years. During those years, Bishop Long studied Demonology and was mentored by a Catholic Exorcist. Through prayer and spiritual advisement, Bishop Long accepted God’s call to become an Independent Catholic Priest. He was ordained a Deacon, Priest within the Old Catholic Church and was consecrated a Bishop in April 2006. Currently, Bishop Long serves as the Presiding Archbishop for the United States Old Catholic Church.
The Bishop has been the guest of several national radio shows. He presented knowledge on Demonology, Exorcisms and Paranormal Investigations. Bishop Long is scheduled to appear on several other radio shows in the future and he is completing a book about Demonology that will be published in May of 2008. The title of the book is called, “Through the Eyes of an Exorcist.”

Tim Yancey,
Encounters Paranormal Radio Host
At a young age, Tim and his brother had frightening encounters with an entity in the woods near his home, which began a haunting that his family and some friends endured to this day. It was the catalyst for his interest and passion in the paranormal, and he now has over 35 years of research and investigations in paranormal phenomenon. Tim honed his investigative skills while serving as a ambulance medic, and working for the Lake Worth Police Department. He also served as a counselor with the Childrens Youth and Family Services in Florida for six years. He has investigated some of the most famous haunting locations in the United States including the Bell Witch property, Appomattax and Gettysburg, The "Amityville Horror" Haunting and The Devil's Tramping Ground. Tim is a much sough-after public speaker and lecturer on the subject of violent hauntings, and has spoken at Colleges and Universities, paranormal conferences and conventions around the country on the subject of violent hauntings. He is the webmaster of "The Official Amityville Horror Website" which he created with his good friend George Lutz and is currently in pre-production with Steve LaChance, Denice Jones and the Booth Brothers on a three-part reality epic entitled "Haunted Survivors".

Ghost hunter, documentarian, Soon to be Co-Host of the Encounters Paranormal Radio Show
Jason Gowin began his actual trek into the unknown back in the fall of 1998 with the infamous paranormal investigation group Ghost Hunters, Incorporated, where he spent the better part of 10 years causing chaos wherever and whenever they could. Upon meeting George Lutz, the man who was the basis for the Amityville Horror book and movies, took him under his wing and was shown a new path; Jason changed his mind about certain things in the paranormal and sought out a new way in which to search for it while still keeping the same sense of humor about the subject matter that he always had.
His investigations have been published in the Encyclopedia of Haunted Places by Jeff Bellanger. He has also been the basis for several widely released documentaries including New Gil Pictures “The Graveyard Shift” as well as many others. In 2008, Jason was asked by longtime friend and mentor in the paranormal Tim Yancey to become a co-host of the Encounters Paranormal Radio Program.
